I need some 5w30 oil. It's often cheaper to buy it in bulk and I am looking for about 20 litres.

I have found deals for about £48.

Does anyone know any cheaper sources?

Thanks.

What quality does it need to be and what is it for?

If you can wait a couple of weeks, Halfords will have their 5w30 fully synthetic on offer again soon, usually £10 for 5 litres.

It is for a 2009 Ford Focus. Either semi or fully synthetic.

Are you sure on Semi for a 2009 Focus? I wouldnt put anything but Fully Synth in that.

Chevron 5w30 is £44 if I remember correctly, it's A5/B5 I believe, have never used it but have used the 10w40.

Buying 20litres is not bulk, whoever told you that is wrong

You can go onto EuroCarParts website and buy 4x5 litres with a code, they stock Petronas which is well priced.

You can use semi or full on all Fords in my experience.

As long as it meets A5/B5 (forget the Ford spec off hand)

I would also personally use Full Synth usually

You can get good deals on Ford branded oil at the Ford parts place (Rates Ford) in Thurrock, they had a deal years ago of buy three get one free, I believe the oil is (or was) supplied by Castrol.
