Refund on group on voucher cancelation

We purchased a voucher from groupon to attend an outdoor cinema event which was cancelled by the organisers due to the adverse weather conditions two days prior to the event. I contacted the organisers directly to request a refund as we could not attend any other future events. I have been referred back to Groupon to receive a refund.

Could anybody advise on consumer rights here whether a refund should be offered in such circumstances?

As you purchased the voucher from Groupon, it is Groupon you need to email to get a refund. I wouldn't have thought you would have had an issue with obtaining a full refund, but if there any issues and you paid by paypal, you can claim back via them.

What does the voucher say about adverse weather. With an outdoor event it's usually covered by their T&C's.

Depends on the T&C. Many organisers of outdoor events only offer a ticket for an alternative date rather than a refund, and Groupon could insist on following this policy - but in practice might be much more accommodating, so contact them and see.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
