First Time Car Buyer, Need Advice

I Will be picking up my first car on Saturday, the situation is the car will be owned and registered to me at my home address.
Now i spoke to the insurance company i will be using and explained the Car will be Kept at my Partners address (this is 100% Honest) i spend a lot of time there and wont be using the car all the time so will keep it on her drive (i will still be using the bus a lot as I work in the town centre).
Insurance has said this is OK just put the policy at my Partners address. Is this an issue as the V5C will have my home address. all very confusing as its my first car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

The insurers are interested in the address the car is usually kept at not the address on the logbook.0

It should be easy enough to use your own address to take out the policy, receive correspondence etc. and then have them note the address where the vehicle is being parked separately.
If for some strange reason they can't do that, it should be fine, just keep a note of the date, time and person you spoke to in case anyone queries why the policy is different to your licence, V5C etc.0 -
If you put the policy at your partners address and you split up how will you get your paperwork and know whether they have cancelled the policy.
Paperwork at your address, you only put their address for where is the car kepy (night/day).Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
