Morning All
Surprisingly it's not raining at the moment, thought I was going to have to build an Ark yesterday!
Took DD to the sofa place but no joy, they just close ranks and say they told her that the cusions would go soft. Told her to forget it, we bought some cheap pillow cases and a big bag of stuffing and made new little cushions to put in the covers - seems to have worked quite well and only cost £12 to fix.
I have the builder and a kitchen designer coming at lunch time, I'm sure I will be told by the designer that I need lots of useless things but I know what I want/don't want so will stay strong!
Going to try to make a hot water bottle cover today, decided to take the sewing machine up to DDs room as she has a dressing table that would be ideal to use.
Hope you are all well, take care. XX0 -
Morning all,
Yesterday was a difficult day in work so I was glad to get out the office and get to the gym then home for a healthy dinner. I picked up my Herbalife stuff which will sort me for the month ahead and trim a few pounds before my holiday, so happy days.
Today is FIFA and fajitas, my mates turn to pay, so today will be another NSD. 4 in a row!
Must remember to stop by the library and pick up some books.
Have a super day everyone.0 -

Morning everyone,
Csarina sorry to hear OH is still having blackouts & hope there is some improvement soon.Dont do too much though, its very tiring hospital visiting & sounds like you need a rest xx
Lainey hope Mums results are ok,and you are having better days at work-you too Speky.
Hope you sort your hol RR
Camelot,I've been shifting things around in our bedroom, the sewing machine has been moved several times, but I think I've finished with it for a while.I made a cover for our bed from a bargain £5 pair of curtains in the sale at dunellm.
We have far less storage here than our last house after downsizing but still too much stuff, even though we got rid of loads before we moved.I got rid of 4 bags to charity in the last week :jI was thinking of getting rid of the old desktop pc,havent used it for ages really but its probably pretty slow in comparison to new ones.I switched it on yesterday and updated a few things and its ok.I dont even know if CS accept them and would have to wipe it(or DS would ,I dont know how)Anyway its going back under the desk for now
Keeps raining here-whats new!Probably why I keep finding these decluttering jobs to do,not fit for any outside jobs.No signs of any work starting at the front on the flood damage,we're into the 8th month now
DGD has chickenpox and is very spottyand not sleeping well at night. She didnt come yesterday for tea as she had fallen asleep. She is on antibiotics as some of the spots are infected.Keeps taking her Mums or Nanas phone and facetiming Daddy at random times, she's 5 next month
I have been pondering over getting a veg box delivered,a friend has been getting one and raves about the quality and variety,& I have been using so much more since doing the BS thing but wonder if its expensive/value for money etc.
Anyway spent too long onlineHave a good day all x

Hi carolbee normally we would be there ,as last weekend was so warm and beautiful there, but DGS Ben is due home from Norwich on Sunday at lunchtime so I will be picking him up.
We had lunch at the West Bay cafe in Westgate on the front last Sunday and it was really delicious .being a slightly sheltered spot its great for sunbathing and DD and I both came hot looking extremely ,,,healthyand a nice rosy glow to our cheeks. I may take the boys down to Herne Bay after lunch for a walk as its so bracing there.
Just waiting for the gardener to turn up

Fidget had a visitor last night - Mr LW's pal A came over. We tend to invite him when we have a dog staying, as a) it gets him his "dog fix" - he adores dogs but works full time, often having to travel, so it's not practical to have one himself and b) it makes it less stressful for me as I don't cope well with visitors generally.
Anyways, he had some good news for us - after seven months of taking anti-depressants, he's now off them; as he put it, "no more happy pills". :TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LW thats brilliant for MrLW's pal long may he continue to be naturally happy as opposed to chemically happy
Just back from a nice afternoon at Herne Bay,lthough there was a sharp heavy shower the boys were luckily spending their poundsworth of 2p pieces in the amusements there.
They are allowed a quid a piece and once its gone thats it .They are more than happy with that and had a cornet each when we came out of the arcade, by which time the rain had stopped and we paddled back to the car
Just relaxing with my feet up waiting for my son-in-law or DD to appear so I can go home and have a bit of a rest and do some knitting I forgot to bring it with me today
Hope you all are OK and enjoying so peaceful times

Well now we know, OH has a clot iin his lung, he is on warferin to stop his blood clotting so it obviously is not doing its job. No idea what they intend to do about it, there are several options open to them, will see the Drs tomorrow.
I did the ironing, walked to the post office and did some weeding in the back garden this morning. I did go out after lunch to do a bit more, but it started to rain, so I came back in.Might get a bit more done tomorrow. I have spent the afternoon snoozing.0 -
Csarina
About five years ago i had a clot in each lung and was on injections in my stomach for about a week before starting warfarin. It took a while but I now feel much better. Hope they can get something sorted quickly. At least they are finding it.
I emptied another few boxes while the builders worked on the back garden. I now have radiator covers for the hall and for the kitchen and they look really good. I ordered a few organiser shelves for the kitchen cupboards which will make better use of the space. Also ordered a new valance sheet for my bed as the divan base is not very pretty and does not go with the nice new bedding I got in the sales.
I am getting sick of spending money but try to get good deals when I can and it will be worth it in the end. Every time one thing gets tidied it means twice as much mess until I sort out things then it means more mess.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

Csarina.......hopefully they will be able to clear the clot soon, try to take it easy, you can only do so much.
Rain showers all day, meant to do a bit of gardening, but wasnt the weather for it.
OH and I are going to Wexford for 2 nights, need a rest as cant see any free time once Baby August arrives on 19th. We dont know the area very well so it will be nice to have a wander around.
DD4 and her O H took C and M to the swimming pool today and they enjoyed it, although C was a little apprehensive at first.
Hugs to everyone who could do with one
