Evening,
I have been doing some free credit checks, equixfax, experian, Noddle and none of these Show any of my debts, they only show 1 previous small claims award for £230, why do none of them have my old 24K secured loan, no longer secured as house repossessed nothing to do with the repossession is on it (house was sold and cleared 1st mortgage, not secured loan) had a few credit cards that I defaulted on and none of them show up, is it possibly they are statue barred (Live in Scotland) as I haven't heard from them in at least 6 years and they have fell of my credit file?
I find it very strange as I thought they would be in a right mess, especially showing the 24k debt and the other smaller items, thought at least 1 would show a lot of bad items.

If you defaulted more than 6 years ago, then they will have dropped off your files.0

Thanks for the reply, we're would I find information regarding old debts, I'm looking to include these with some form of debt management plan or trust deed/bankruptcy.
So even though there is an outstanding amount they will just disappear, how can I find out if they are statue barred etc.0 -
If you last acknowledged the debt more than six years ago, they will be statute barred.
You won't find out anything about them unless you contact the lenders.0 -
What about the Secured Loan? I believe it to be treat same as a Mortgage and doesn't go Statue barred for 25years.
Will that have dropped of because it's nearly 12 years old even though it has never been paid off?0 -
12 years for mortgages.
6 years for loans.0
