Orlando theme parks

Hi folks, we are in the very early stages of planning a trip to Orlando (October 2018). There will be two adults and two children aged 15 & 3. We plan to visit the theme parks but was wondering if you can purchase tickets just to get into the parks but not to go on any of the rides (my wife is not a great fan of thrill rides) not really wanting to pay out £400 - £500 for her to just walk round the park. Thanks.

Ha Ha you don't know my wife....we once managed to get her on the teacups at a funfair but we had to stop the ride to let her off as she was petrified lol.

As others have said, no you can't, but there's still lot to enjoy without the rides. As you are planning to go Oct 2018, you will coincide with the annual Epcot Food and Wine Festival and the accompanying (free with entry ticket) Eat to the Beat concert series.

Disneyworld parks aren't really chock full of thrill rides anyway.... that's more the domain of Islands of Adventure and Busch Gardens.

At Animal Kingdom I'd take the Kilimanjaro Safari (jeep trek), visit the tigers and gorillas (walking treks), you can take the train to the petting zoo (Conservation Station), and there are a couple of great shows to watch (Lion King and Finding Nemo themed).

At Hollywood Studios there are also shows... Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. The night time fireworks and Fantasmic are also great, and the rides such as Great Movie Ride are just slow moving vehicle rides. Avoid Rock and Roller Coaster, Hollywood Tower of Terror and Star Tours. You'll get the hang...

At Epcot, visit all of the country pavilions and if you can get her on Soarin it's wonderful, Spaceship Earth is also a slow moving ride. The only things I'd avoid are Test Track, Mission Space and Sum of All Thrills.

At The Magic Kingdom, avoid the roller coasters and the log flume. She may not like a few of the other rides (including the teacups....), but there are plenty of other attractions to try.
