Boiler Grant for over-65 question

My ex-husband's boiler, gas fire & gas cooker have recently been condemned. He's 65 & still working, but didn't bother getting the boiler repaired when it broke A YEAR ago so has had no hot water or heating in the house for that long. He goes to the gym daily so showers there.

Our son who's 18 stays there 1 weekend in every 3 but his new College is around the corner so he'd be there a lot more often from Sept. I can't let him stay there with things as they are.

Our son (18) is autistic and has epilepsy plus a brain abnormality. He gets DLA & I receive tax credits. I work part-time. My ex bought me out of the 4 bedroomed house when we divorced. Would any boiler grants be available or would I have to be at the same address? Is there any way around this? If my son cant go to College from his dad's, it means me driving for 45 minutes to get him there before I go to work.
