I took it absolutely exactly at face value and am sure that was how Monnagran meant it to be taken - ie a genuine comment.

This 'privacy screen' - is it by any chance upright long twigs held together with thin wire? If so, I don't give much for its chances unless it's supported by something, we tried using something to block a gap between us and next door after we took a large bush out while having building work done. The first strong winds broke it really easily.

Slinky yes that is it. Trying to put another type of support in our own garden, is proving tricky.
I will let things calm down, and try and reach a compromise.

HOORAY!!! We have reached a compromise at last. The neighbours have found a privacy trellis. Not only that, they are paying for it, and putting it up. We have all kissed and made up.
Thank-you to all of you for posting, the funny ones were great.
