Transferring Credit Rating Overseas?

Hi,
I'm moving to the US from the UK. I read somewhere it maybe possible to 'transfer' my credit rating, so that it can be viewed by US companies who need to do a credit check. I can't find any real info on this. Does anyone know if this is in fact possible, and how?
Cheers

No. Some institutions may consider your history with them in another country (eg Amex), but your file stays here.0

HSBC will transfer your banking history from the UK to the US and vice versa.
Depending on what level of client you are there might be a charge . . .Thanks
