Protection covers for car seats.

Options
Hi all.

I have a Kia Ceed and it's almost six years old. I have only done 30000 miles but I do use it frequently.
The drivers seat has worn on the side, it's where our bums rub against when getting in and out. I have tried to fit car seat covers but the damn head rests seem as if they're a permanent fixture and cannot get them removed. I have tried fitting one of those nylon covers that fit over the head rests but then it would prevent side airbags from deploying properly plus it doesn't stop the seat from wearing
Something like a leather strip would be ideal for the side of these seats. Has anyone any ideas as to what the best solution is to my dilemma.
Thanks once again Jeff.
