Painting over one coat gloss

We used quick dry gloss paint on our doors and skirtings due to me working as childminder from home.
Have since discovered that doesnt take very much of a knock to chip it and leave yellow marks from paint below.
Can I paint over this or will it still chip - dont have the time working from home to completely sand them all back.
Thanks for any advice / tips

Did you sand it down before you put the one coat on? If not you may need to sand it all back. If you did sand it back prior to the one coat just give it a gentle rub down and a wipe over with white spirits prior to paintingSome people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0

If it wasn't sanded last time then adding another layer of gloss won't make much difference - whether it's "proper" or any other kind.
The problem is the adhesion to the layer underneath.
It may be easier to just keep a small test pot handy and paint over any chips when they occur, rather than go to all the effort of stripping it right back0
