Malaga (Spain) or Palma (Majorca) end of August

Hi,
We are looking at going away but have no idea on where to go and which location to stay in. There are plenty of places near Malaga and also in Majorca but have no experience of either. There are plenty of places to stay via AirBNB and flights are similar price. Will be going for 5 or 6 nights.
Looking for somewhere not too noise, nice beach and perhaps a swimming pool and also good food at restaurants with a supermarket nearby. Not looking to hire a car if I can avoid it.
Hope someone out there has done something similar.

Mallorca has a good bus service from Palma airport to many parts of the island. The noisy bit is Magaluf. Perhaps have a search with google maps to see if any of the Airbnb places are accessible by bus from the airport.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Malaga airport is a convenient gateway to a fantastic region... but one where decent beaches are few and far between!0

Are you asking about flying into those airports or staying in one of the cities themselves? Although I haven't visited recently, I remember them both as fascinating vibrant cities and think I preferred Palma.0
