Keeping loft conversion costs down

I have an excellent builder that has previously renovated my house. He is not very internet savvy and has been repeatedly impressed by prices I have paid for the kitchen, bathroom, flooring etc that I have sourced online.
I am going to ask him to quote for my loft conversion (L-shaped dormer--2 bedrooms and an en-suite). Are there any particularly good bargains that can be achieved online for any importants parts e.g windows, tiles etc that I should volunteer to source to keep costs down? Any recommended websites?

If you source materials, it becomes your fault should they be unsuitable or unusable. Any delays and costs caused by this will be your responsibility so keep that in mind.0

For windows I would suggest off-the-peg UPVC from Wickes or similar. No idea on the quality but custom sizes are far more so get the openings made the right size to suit the cheaper windows!0

Walls and floors in Kettering for tiles. I think they have another showroom around the South East too.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...
