Access to water inspection chamber

Hi all,
This is somewhat related to the previous thread I posted about the patio. The builder who did our paving paved over the water inspection chamber, which means we now have no access to it. We will now need to lift approx 6-8-slabs (45 x 45) to provide proper access. The inspection chamber is an old style brick one, so a larger cover would be required.
Can anyone please give me a ballpark figure for having that done? Many thanks.

Did you not inform your builder or did he not SEE that there was a drain under the area he worked, for Christs sake!!!
The !!! is against your builder, he should have more idea than you, that's why you employed him.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

When we started the work, we didn't know there was a drain there because previous owners put a good layer of gravel on top of it. We've not been in the current house for long and never needed access to it so far. To discover the drain was a surprise to us. The contractor told us he was going to pave over it, said he does that all the time and that if access is required, we can call him, he will come back, lift the slabs and then put them back.
Now that I discovered that nobody competent does it that way, I have an issue with what he did and we told him that. Because he is refusing to rectify any issues, it is obviously clear that he will not be coming back for anything.0
