Creation Everyday Card - Issue affecting new applications.

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone has had a similar issue recently with Creation?

I wanted this one for overseas as partner has clarity and I wanted my own back up so went for this.

Applied online and got accepted straightaway, 12.9% £3000 limit. All was good and everything would arrive within 10 working days.

This has now elapsed and no contact so phoned this morning to be told some new customers have been affected by a defect that means the cards are not being generated and not being picked up unless a customer calls or they work through the back log. Seems very unusual behaviour, but supposedly they are on it and they are phoning me back later today to confirm what's going on.

Not impressed so far, but I thought I'd share on here incase anyone applies now or has recently, I'd definitely recommend giving them a call to ensure all is ok as they don't seem very proactive.

I applied and was accepted yesterday. Read some horrific reviews about Creation but I think it mainly relates to there buy now pay later or store cards. Will wait 10 days and hope it arrives before my holiday

If your departure is soon, calling them may be better than hoping...

So to be fair, they returned their call earlier today. Confirmed it's all been fixed but could take up to another 7-10 working days.

Have you received your card yet? I got a pin number last week but no sign of the card. Going to give them a buzz to see whats happening?

    thanks

My application experience for this card was an odd one, back in February - the page timed out with an error, which I didn't bother following up. A week or so later, I got a PIN through the post for my new Expedia credit card (!) - a product which doesn't exist in the UK market (to my knowledge). The ED credit card then turned up a week or so after that.

I then stuck it in a drawer, as I had no use for it at the time (I applied to have another option for use abroad), until April, when I tried a number of times to use it in Indonesia, all of which failed! I think these were all fraud blocked, as I had a number of missed calls, which Google tell me were Creation, and I hadn't let them know I was out of the country. Fair enough, I had plenty of alternatives (ah the original Supercard, and it's free cash withdrawals, RIP!). However, since then, I've used it in various countries, most recently Germany about a fortnight ago, with no issues.

I've had no major issues with Creation, I found their Customer Services useless with the Marriott Card, but it was all sorted in the end, and had been using the new IHG credit card quite regularly too, with no issues.

My application did the same, it said please try again. Good job I didn't as I called the next day and the application was accepted with £3000 limit. Is there a time limit before you can apply for a second card with them?

Not sure, I closed my Marriott card in late 2014, applied for the Everyday in Feb 2016, then the IHG whenever it started being issued by Creation, which I think was the start of July (it's not appearing on my CRA file yet anyway).

I called creation to find out, the agent I spoke to said that you can apply for another card at any time, but recommended leaving it 6 months as they take into concideration how you manage other accounts with them.
