Tip 18 Wear your luggage!
To minimise weight, wear your heaviest clothes and shoes. If you're near the weight limit, put heavy gear in your pockets, then stow your jacket under your seat on the plane.
It's not such a good idea to wear heavy clothing on a flight, in the rarified atmosphere this could make you ill.
Don't put anything bulky under your seat, you may not be able to pull out the life jacket from under the seat in an emergency (and you may not be able to easily wear the life jacket on top of heavy clothing).
