HI,
Can I reclaim PPI from a provider that no longer exists ?
I had a mortgage from 1998 with Alliance and Leicester,
Anybody know if I can start a PPI claim for this and who do I send it to ??
many thanks for any replies,

You can certainly start a complaint (not claim) against them, just provide your reasons for miss-sale and your evidence and see what they say. You may need to provide your own records if they don't have any left.
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Most A&L mortgages were arranged via brokers. The branches did some but most were broker arranged.
