Job interview and no one turns up

I've been the interviewer in this situation - it genuinely was HR's fault rather than mine! We'd been sent CVs and asked HR to set up interviews with our preferred candidates. HR did just that but didn't tell us... The first thing we knew was when we got a call from reception to say that one of them had turned up.
Thankfully both of the people who were meant to be interviewing her were in the office, the first part of the interview was meant to be a paper test so we could dig out her cv while she did that, and the good news is that she got offered the job, accepted it and has subsequently been promoted.0 -
was once sent down for an interview at Bristol from Edinburgh. Found out during the interview it was for a different job spec from mine. On the plus side had a good trip down to Bristol, Expenses paid. These things happen.0
