MA loan and registration communication failure

:money:Hi Martin/All,
This is my first nubbie post and find myself in dire straights, again!
Although I have been successful with my applications for both my course and full slc MA funding (which has been pre-scheduled as 4 payments over 2yrs with the first payment to be paid into my bank account on 1st October,) for my MA Music studies with The Open University commencng 1st October, I have found a very serious sticking point because The OU want an upfront registration fee payment for the first module by the 15th September of just under £2,000. Although I have offered to make a split payment of £1,000 (cash) upfront and the reminder when the loan comes through they are adamant they will not accept my offer.
Furthermore, due to current and long term health issues including very recent surgery; my credit score has been severely damaged and I have been unable to raise the additional funds that way. However I have contacted my local MP who is making representations on my behalf to both slc and The Open University to try to resolve this matter, so far The OU will not budge; can you offer any further advice or assistance please Martin?:A

Delay for a year and save up so that you can make the initial payment at the time it is asked for. It's not ideal but if the OU rules apply to all applicants then there's really no reason why they shouldn't apply to you too.0
