Driveway and dropped kerb quote - East Sussex

I am looking at getting a dropped kerb outside my property in the East Sussex area.

I realise that it is a bit difficulty to compare quotes, however upon getting a few quotes to carry out the work, they all look a bit on the pricey side.

We are looking at dropping the kerb which involves 7 stones being dropped and 3 metres crossover to get to the property line. The cheapest quote we have received so far to carry out the work is £2800 which seems a bit on the expensive side.

I was just wondering if anyone has recently had similar work carried out in the East Sussex area and would be willing to divulge what was paid.
