I'm looking for a bit of help from someone with experience of web designing/hosting etc.
Back in 2009, I built a very simple brochure type website, just a few pages, which has served me well but it's looking a bit dated. I'm not looking to become a global empire, it's merely a presence online to display work previously carried out. I also use Facebook pages
I've come across Weebly and knocked up a website quite quickly. My current site comes up as the first on the Google search list. I've noted with Weebly that you cannot host .co.uk but as I own the .com of my trading name, I can use that instead. The only problem is, I'm worried about losing my high ranking on Google. I'm thinking I should just point the .co.uk to the .com. I want to keep my domain renewal with the same company I have used since day one.
I'm also wondering whether the fact that Weebly are an American company, may also affect SEO etc?
Hope the above makes sense?

Weebly being in the US will not affect SEO.
There should be no issues using a .co.uk with Weebly.:j:j:j:j0 -
Maybe try Wix instead. The problems with using any of these sorts of sites is in moving and control.
You should perhaps sit down and talk with your accountant on how much of a budget you have. Bring in a web design company instead to build you something unique.0
