Please help - very urgent advice needed

I ordered a large item (urgently needed DIY parts) online and paid loads extra for named day delivery on a Saturday.
Only 3/4 boxes turned up on the Saturday. The seller was really rude (essentially "well you've got most of it, what's your problem") and said I'd just have to wait till the next Saturday to get the 4th part (which is not convenient). The delivery company refuse to deal with me saying I have to sort it with the seller.
I asked for a refund of the delivery costs due to the inconvenience and because this was part of what was agreed and the seller has point-blank refused as I got "some" of the goods, and has now essentially threatened me by booking a van to turn up and take back the goods that have arrived (fully paid for)!. He's sent an abrupt email in a roundabout way saying "clearly you won't be happy so I'm collecting the goods and will just refund you".
Surely he cannot do this? It's my property now! Do I have any legal rights over this or the delivery charge that was breached? The seller did offer a small discount for part of the order that arrived damaged (which I accepted), but presumably is trying to back-track on this too. I have this in writing and accepted this part - can he go back on this?
I've bought online for years but have never faced a company acting like this, so really do need some advice.

But he'd have to be sure you were in
..perhaps this is the time to negotiate...
Something like, it's really difficult to give you a fixed time I'll be there.
I'd hate you to have a wasted journey.i would need to get a taxi home, to be sure-at a cost of( insert delivery fee you want refunding)0 -
So what do you expect the outcome to be?
Leaving aside the rudeness, his offer sounds very reasonable. You're not happy with the order, so he's willing to refund your money and collect the goods that have already been delivered. What more would you expect a retailer to do?If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -

But really... who knows?0
