Faulty purchase via Wowcher - help!

Hiya,

I'm hoping someone can help. In June, I purchased a gazebo "Wowcher" for sashtime.co.uk. I put the gazebo up a week or so after it arrived and within an hour it had collapsed (not even a windy day!) Luckily at the time neither myself nor my 2 week old baby were underneath it!
I got on to sashtime straight away and received no response for days, so I tried Wowcher and all they did was copy an email to Sashtime telling them to contact me.
Eventually I heard back two weeks ago - they would send a courier to collect last Tuesday, no one came. I've been trying to contact both them and Wowcher since - nothing from Sashtime and only the same "please contact the customer" email once from Wowcher but nothing in days (and I'm chasing daily)
My credit card provider have told me that since it was below £100 and through Wowcher then they can't do anything.. Where do I stand and what can I do? :(

Thanks,

Kay

Why did it collapse? Presumably they've sold lots of these things?
  • The plastic joints that the poles go into all snapped so it obviously wasn't designed to support them properly. There isn't one joint that hasn't snapped. The description said that they were suitable for commercial events, weddings and allsorts. When we took it out we did think it seemed a little flimsy but just assumed it would be fine..
