Samsung Galaxy S4 - audio disappeared!

Hi
I have a Galaxy S4 which is 3 years old. Has been fine apart from a few scrapes but the audio has completely gone all of a sudden so I can't receive calls or hear voicemail. The line itself does dial out and people can dial in but then I can't hear them at all.
Any ideas? I am close to replacing it but was thinking for the next few days/weeks I may miss important calls before then! Thanks

Stupid question, but have you checked you've not got it on silent?
If you swipe down from the top, there's a little speaker icon. Does it have a line through it?:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -

You mean the 'mute' icon? Yes sometimes on silent but this doesn't affect whether or not I can hear someone speaking. It just affects ring and text alerts. I think that's what you mean?0 -

Thanks both for replying. I accidentally found out how to fix it - I deleted a few files and freed up some memory, then did a 'restart'. Now working fine.:)0
