Longleat entry price is eye watering, online booking is cheaper than paying at the gate but you have to pick a fixed date, so if weather is bad or anything comes up, you cannot change date.

There are discounts for NHS/Emergency services and armed forces (maybe others too), if you google you can find the links, currently 30% discount online in advance for named dates.

Caravan club members also can get discount 1/2/5 day tickets, again paid online in advance only.

We normally use tesco points to get an e-code which you then have to convert to e-ticket for named date in advance, as this has been cheapest way by far if you have tesco points available.

We've previously used tesco points to get day entry tickets for longleat, then upgraded to annual passes, which you used to get 30% caravan club discount on, so was a fair price. The annual pass discounts got removed a couple of years ago when they started to go 'Disney', so we've not done this last couple of years, but planned to have another go.

Had ordered tesco e-code to go this weekend, planning to upgrade to annual pass, but checked website yesterday to find Longleat have started to exclude certain dates from annual pass entry. Currently this is the Balloon Fiesta and Fireworks, which annual pass holders have to pay £10 extra and book in advance, but annual membership page states for busy dates online booking will be required to guarantee entry and a 'small booking fee' will apply - but no details of which dates or how much the fee will be.

Also states they reserve the right to add extra excluded dates at any time, so suspect they may do this for other events.

This was the final straw for us, the cost at Longleat had doubled then doubled again over last few years due to removing discounts/ticket changes, so to pay for an annual pass then have to pay again to visit just doesn't work for us.
