Hi all!!

Currently going through the mortgage process for buying our first home.

We've done the help to buy scheme end so far everything has gone well, we've not had much to do since handing over all our documents.

We found out this morning that our valuation is being done on Friday.

Is it safe to say that everything must have gone well up to this point?

ANY ADVISE IS APPRECIATED

From a very very stressed and worried first time buyer.

I am not sure what else you want?

Valuation instructed, told you should have your offer next week.

Things are progressing nicely, are they not?

    I think so.

I'm just worried that something could fall through between the valuation and the offer.

We're buying a new build and isn't ready until October/November.

The company we are buying off are asking us about what extras we want and to make decisions im just a bit wary doing it before mortgage has been offered.

Do you think much could go wrong between valuation and offer?

I am such a stress head about these things - too good to be true etc etc.

So pleased I'm not the only one. It's horrible isn't it!!
It's with Skipton, whos yours with?
We've got an appointment on Saturday to pick the final touches for ours, it seems crazy when we haven't had our offer.
When did you have your valuation?
It takes over your life waiting to hear! Hope all goes well for you though!!!

It's really difficult, did you get your decision in principle too before going forward with application?

From reading and speaking to people it sounds like as long as they've done your credit checks and checked your documents, once the valuation is done everything should be pretty straight forward.

However, I find that hard to believe! Until it's all done and dusted you don't want to trust anything!!

We were told ours is on Tuesday, it takes two days to get results back, then the underwriter provides offer, so hoping middle of next week for us with a bit of luck!!!

Our Mortgage broker tried to explain what stage we were at earlier, just said that the valuation is the last part of the application before the offer... FINGERS CROSSED :)

I am fuming i cant take this its awful and i was all geared up ready as our broker told us we would hear today, its a joke!!!!

Oh god that's ridiculous! Surely they can just contact your bank!!

All our bank statements were printed straight from our online banking, hope they're alright.

I've been counting down until this Friday since we found out our valuation was going to be then, dunno why cos it's not like we'll find out anything!

It's bloody horrible waiting, we have an appointment with Persimmons Saturday so hoping she can tell me how it went... dunno!
