Barclaycard Credit Increase

Afternoon,

My current Barclaycard credit limit is £3,600 (£3,400 available), this was last increased on 29th April. Now 3 months have passed, I have tried to increase it once again, however, keep being told they cannot increase it due to only recently having it increased.

I have tried a couple of times over the last few days, has anybody else had a similar experience? When is the best time to attempt it after the 3 month period? Will attempting and getting refused have an impact on what they might potentially offer me?

Thanks,

Tinaroo

    I'd give it at least 6 months. But being so close to your limit will make them cautious.

    I think 3 months is a bot too soon to be honest.

    Try 6-12 months to be on the safe side.

    I haven't spent £3,400, that is my available balance. Their website states you can increase your limit after 3 months, however, I didn't know whether there was a grace period following 3 months.

    I increased mine last week, Had a BT offer of 0.04%. Increased it by £5,700
  • In my experience it's every 12 weeks and increases are generous. When i took my card out my limit was £2k - Within 15 months it was sitting at £12.5k.

    Why are you trying to increase a limit from £3,600 if you're only using £200?

    Sorry to jump in;

    How often do Barclaycard review/increase credit limits?

    I've had mine almost 10 years and my limit has been increased once (and that was so long ago I cant remember if they did it or I asked :rotfl: )

    I'd have a look online, you might be eligible for an increase.

    Might be.
