Parking around Odyssey

That's actually not too bad price wise compared to a lot of the carparks. The Corporation Square carpark would be quiet at that time of the morning and the £3.40 is for 9 hours. I'm lazy and would pay more to be close to where I work if it was only one day a week...but that's not very MSE friendly!!! :rotfl:

Maybe I'm being silly but I'm struggling to identify this car-park you refer to and is it coin operated only?

I'd probably hope to be in before 8 am, the Odyssey appears to be £5.50 and that's for 8 hours.

The park and ride is cheaper than that from what I can remember. I get cheaper all day parking in the Odyssey, but only with a business pass (£3.20 per day).

A friend of mine who works in Citi gets an offer like that but he has to use it every day which doesn't suit. Do Citi offer anything else?

For staff, there's a limited amount of slightly cheaper parking under the building, with a long waiting list. But it's only cheaper if you really use it every day as it's a "pay for the year" kind of thing. The Odyssey deal works better for me, as it's more flexible. It's true that they will stop your card if you don't use it, but I go through periods of only using it two days a week, with no problems. And it's charged when you use it (though you have to pre-load the card with 5 days - £16 - at a time).

Apart from that, they arrange deals with the other car parks in the area on an ad-hoc basis, when the Odyssey parking is closed (usually for a Disney matinee).

The only other reliable choice I've found in the area, given the way they've cracked down on the on-street parking, is the Eastside park and ride at £3.60 per day (last time I looked).

I'm rubbish at directions. :rotfl: The car park is on Corporation Street, right beside the skate park which is on the corner of Little Patrick Street. The turn off is on your left hand side after this street and it's directly under the motorway.

Yes, it's a pay and display car park.
