Hello fredandwilma and thanks for posting the link to our Warm Home Discount scheme.
As you say, our Warm Home Discount scheme is now open. It opened yesterday, 1 August 16. Customers will now be able to apply under the Broader Group for the payment of £140 for 2016/17. Payments will be made by 31 May 17.
We’ll start to contact customers who’ve already registered their interest from this week. We’ll send them either an application form or email a link to our online application form. Applications for the Broader Group are dealt with on a first come first served basis so best to send in applications as soon as possible. As in previous years, once we’ve reached a certain number, we’ll close this year’s Broader Group scheme. It’ll help if anyone applying can include their electricity account number.
Core Group customers, usually those who receive the guarantee element of Pension Credit, don’t need to apply. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will let us know who to pay the discount to. These customers will receive a letter from the DWP and the payment will automatically be made. DWP letters will start going out from September 16.
There’s more information about our Warm Home Discount scheme, including what’s needed to qualify, on our website.
Hope this is of interest and thanks again for posting this fredandwilma. Please let me know if you or anyone else needs any more details as happy to help.

I've already sent in my application thanks Malc.
My only concern is that although i received the message saying my application has been received, it would be good if confirmation emails (even an automated one) were sent, just to confirm applications have been received. This would give greater peace of mind.

Thanks for sending in your Warm Home Discount application fredandwilma. Thank you also for your suggestion. I've passed this on.
For general information, customers who apply online will receive a confirmation email to the address given on the application form. Those who've sent a paper application will receive a letter once we've entered the application on to our systems. This could be up to 4 weeks after we receive the application. We'll contact customers again within 14 weeks of receiving their application to let them know if they've been successful. We'll also write to customers where we need them to send us proof of benefits.
Thanks again for the suggestion fredandwilma. Hope this is of interest.

Is this in force now then, Malc?
When can i expect to receive a confirmation email?
Do i take it the application has been entered on to your system? ( I can only assume it has, as it was sent electronically.)
I think this is why a confirmation email at least shows you will be dealt with in due course.
Thanks

Usually within a couple of weeks f&w but could be a tad out here as I know our Warm Home Discount teams have a backlog at the moment due to the delay opening the 2016/17 scheme.
If it helps, drop an email with your details to the address in my Profile. I'll be happy to take a look.

Well there's a coincidence.
I've received a confirmation email today.
I'm happy now i know my application is in the system, although it has to be said, my application has been dealt with fairly promptly, previously.Fred - Where's your get up and go?

E.on have now closed the scheme (broader group) for 2016/2017 and so unfortunately won’t be able to accept any more applications. Registrations for the scheme for 2017/2018 are now being accepted:

No that's an online form to register an interest in next year's scheme. As the details of the 2017/18 Warm Home Discount Scheme aren’t finalised yet, don’t worry if you don’t hear from us for a while. We will write to you in Summer 2017 with the details.0 -

Hi Must agree fredandwilma I would be very surprised if it's still open from E.ON as I have been paid and it is better to apply early every year to save being disappointed.
But it is 2016/7.
Just obtained this off the E.ON site
Thank you for your interest in the 2016/17 E.ON Warm Home Discount scheme. Unfortunately we’ve reached our maximum number of applications for this year’s scheme and we are not accepting any more applications. There are more questions than answers :shhh: :silenced:WARNING ! May go silent for unfriendly repliesPlease excuse me Spell it MOST times:A UK Resident :A0
