Accidental Discount

Visited a garden centre chain at the weekend and saw a lovely huge Joules dog bed marked at 50% off, original price was ~£50. I'd looked at the item a few months ago and remembered it being more expensive that the £50 advertised and so decided to take advantage of the offer. Got to the till and the discount was now 70% so eventally only paid ~£15 - bargain.
However, when I got it home I realised that the actual label for the item was on the bottom - the one I'd seen and that had been scanned at the tills had fallen off a smaller Joules bed and stuck itself on. The original price was indeed more - £75. It did have a 50% off sticker on it but that would have made the price more like £38 - still not a bad price and one I would probably have been happy to pay.
I live some distance from the shop in question and am not intending on going all the way back for the sake of ~£20. Thnk I must be feeling some guilt pangs as it's still playing on my mind. What would other MSEr's have done?

If the smaller bed whos label actually scanned turned out to have been reduced by 70%, then the chances are the larger one would have been too. So that £75 bed would have been £22.50 - only £7.50 more than you paid.
Some slightly messy labelling by the shop but mistakes happen, and they have managed to get shot of stock they're trying to clear out so it's not the end of the world.
I wouldn't feel guilty at all, just enjoy your bargain.0 -
It's a chain, I don't worry about them really.
If it had been a local independent shop, I'd probably say something.0 -
If it would make you feel better, donate the difference to charity?0
