HP battery recall

Just received an email from HP regarding HP battery recall however it has one of those click here links so I'm not sure if it's genuine. Been on HP site and can't see anything about a recall however a quick google search throws up several results going back to 2011. I've read through a couple but again they are giving a click here link to check battery and asking for email address etc. Any ideas, is it genuine?

When you hover/mouse over the link you should see the address ... does it end as hp.com or something.hp.com? (e.g. battery-recall.hp.com) If not then it's a phishing link.

e.g. battery-recall-hp.com would likely be a phishing link

There are a batch of batteries that "overheat" so best to check it out using the options near the bottom of the page

Thanks for replies, bit odd as I couldn't find anything on UK HP site. Will pull the battery out later and have a look, even when fully charged it dies within an hour so maybe there is a problem.
