Woke up to find the interview of better job you ended up specially having to book and waste the day off for due to 'odd interview time', is sickingly cancelled without reason.
They managed to leave Emailing so late for me to reverse anything with work.
Suppose least they decided to email me before I paid train fare and got on for London! Yep guess I'll have saved future money paid out if nothing else.
I really should have known better.0 -
that sucks keepcalmandstayoutofdeat's. Boo to them. I always think what's meant for me won't go past me. Whenever the fullness of time has unfolded I see jobs that I didn't get, while disappointing at the time, really wouldn't have been right for me and I have had a lucky escape.
Sure you will feel the same when the right position in the right company comes along xDF as at 30/12/16

Is it too much to ask that there might be an online alcohol shop that sells both the Polish spirit that I like and the Cuban spirit that DW likes, and has both in stock for one amount of postage?Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0

Back with a progress report for the day. To be honest - I've barely left the sofa. Couldn't even be bothered for pokemon hunting with the kids.crazy_cat_lady wrote: »

Hi all. My sinuses hurt, is this the start of a cold, some kind of allergy thing or something else altogether? I cant be ill at the moment, apart from anything else I have just joined a new cycling group that starts on Thursday and I am sooo looking forward to it.
So I am sorry but I have read but not absorbed properly, feel all fuzzy. Anyhow, debt busting. I have had confirmation that my balance transfer has gone ahead. I have got the washing dried outside, made roast dinner from the mealplan, and persuaded the kids to help me eat up some slightly squidgy pears. Oh and I showed DS how to cut his tube of hair gel in half to use it up. He was amazed at how much was actually left.
Both boys have gone to watch a footie match, its dark and raining, feels like winter already! DS2 will need collecting, hope DH might go.
Both jobs tomorrow, working from home in the afternoon. Might sneak off to bed early.0 -
Evening all
Thanks for starting the thread Legomum
Raining here for most of the day, but really humid and clammy at the same time
Today I have:
Managed to walk pup before it got too wet - he still has a runny tummy, so food is restricted and he ain't happy about it. He isn't poorly at all, so I haven't taken him to the vet, but will have to if it doesn't clear up in a couple of days. Lots of dogs round here have had it, including DD's, which is probably who he got it off of - unless he has simply eaten something disgusting
Posted 4 ebay parcels
Listed a few more bits
Found £1 outside the Post Office :T (this NEVER happens!!)
Received first RM surveys pack for a while - my membership ended a few months ago, and I was recently asked to rejoin again. The pack included a supply of stamps
A couple of onepoll surveys and one for Yougov
Few bits at Mr S, found some YS items, but only bought the few I knew I would use / have freezer space for
Also collected another half dozen of their wine boxes for ebay packaging
Cheap dinner, spaghetti with some chopped bacon, overripe tomatoes, parsley from the garden and some smelly brie from the fridge chopped up - fry the bacon till the fat runs and it browns, turn down the heat, add cut up tomatoes, cook till they start to break down at the edges a bit, add chopped parsley, tip the whole lot into a pan of just cooked, drained pasta, add chopped cheese (any kind, and you don't need much) and allow to melt in the heat of the pan / other ingredients. Toss together, add a few grinds of black pepper and serveObviously you can buy the ingredients specially, but it is something I always make with fridge- bottom leftovers
Picked a handful of yellow raspberries, and fed them to GD
Picked two courgettes which had ambitions to be something altogether larger
Put a box of bits for the charity shop into the car, so I don't keep forgetting to take it - had the added advantage of clearing it out of the dining room :T
Started operation tidy up, eldest GD is coming to stay for the weekend, and the spare toom and dining toom are full of ebay stuff, boxes, bubble wrap etc. Will get OH to help me put it all away tomorrow, but at least I can see the dining table now!
All in all, not too bad considering I played with GD for most of the afternoon!0 -

Bob fingers crossed for the artist working out, plus hopefully lots of other bookings your way. Obviously don't know your plans but is it suitable for children's parties, round here places are always hard to find and the one of two for diy parties always get booked up well in advance. Just a thought.
Anyway list for today:
List parcel - done, did it on way back from dropping DD at nursery and I didn't underestimate postage
Check banking, surveys and FPL
Hm pasta and chorizo for lunch, taking hot drink and snack to work too
Meal from stores/planner
Text friend and offer to help with childcare, she needs to go abroad unexpectedly as has a sick relative, will be tough but I know she would do the same
Pack lunch for DD for her dance day
Washing on airer that was done overnight, too glum for it to go outside. Is it really August
Think that's about all, check back later. PF.
Thanks PF. I have done a lot of kids parties. You are right they are good money/constantly happening. Im sorry to hear about your friend. She is fortunate to have a friend like you to help her out." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
