They do. It's called an agreed value. If you want to pay for such a policy you can do, I have one for my car. Only difference is that mine is appreciating not depreciating.

I think you seem to be missing the point that these posters are talking about classic car insurance with an agreed value.
Classic car insurance can't be compared to modern car insurance and the risk of fraud is a lot lower.
Surely they wouldn't be so stupid?? it was quite obvious in my post I was talking about insurance available to all cars...
Really, the risk of fraud? I doubt that, just because of being car "lovers" doesn't mean they are immune to the same temptations the rest of us are according to mr "dacouch" ask Mr DeLorean
And I did read somewhere the actual risk of theft is much higher due to inherently high levels of security on modern cars and lesser values. part stripping on classics is quite the enterprise these days apparently.0
