Confusing credit check

My partner and I have just need accept for a mortgage and told we have nearly the highest credit rating...how we we went to get a bed on 0% finance but we were declined. They said they couldn't match the card to an address. It was an old address but we still have the correct details. Will this affect our rating and also, if it's an error on their part, can it be disputed?

You don't have a rating - just credit files. It will appear as a search, which is of no great concern.
Check your credit files to make sure everything is correct.0
