From what I read, they DO have a problem doing anything, refunding included - they have a far worse track record than I thought, and I was dubious in the first place!

7 days, and a refund "soon" is as good as I am getting!

After the initial order confirmation I had an email saying it was temporarily out of stock and they suggested an alternative which I ignored.

Just received an email that mine is now picked and ready for despatch though I'm not too confident after reading this thread.

Maybe, just maybe, I'll have a working DVD recorder delivered tomorrow

Would you WANT one from such a company, if such hassles ensue from an order, what problems could you expect if you need service? :-(

In any case, my cancellation email reply told me to EXPECT such an email, and I DID get one! (God alone knows why!) No DVD Recorder though & I have since bought a Panasonic E55 which at 180 quid is so far brilliant if not rather a LOT more expensive

I finally got a refund to my credit card account from Scan today too!

To be honest I wouldn't really call it hassle to be told an item was temporarily out of stock. My original despatch date was supposed to be 20th May and it was despatched on the 26th. I received it this morning but as I ordered it at 3am on the 19th I don't think it was an excessive delay. I've had to wait a lot longer for deliveries which haven't been delayed.

I'm off to set it up now so my fingers are firmly crossed.
