I fancied the Adapt (Perstel) DR-101 Portable DAB Radio at £32.95 + vat = £38.72
I've (still) got 1 in my basket at this price, BUT they want £7.00 + VAT for P&P !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THAT'S EIGHT POUNDS TWENTY THREE PENCE !!!!!!!!!!!!
That's OVER 21% of the value of the radio.
Christ! The thing only weighs 80 grams and is the size of a packet of cigarettes.
OK there's a mains adapter with it and a set of in-ear 'phones BUT £8.23 ? ? ?
The Royal Mail will deliver HALF A KILO for £1.48 (it's still only £2.14 if it's recorded delivery)
RM's SPECIAL DELIVERY "Next Day" for 500g is only £4.25 and that includes insurance to £500 !!!!
I don't suppose you'd like to pick it up and mail it to me if I change the delivery option to "Q-collect" ? ? ?
i could but i would have to pay for it, as the person who is collecting it needs to take the credit/debit card used to pay for it online and sign for it

i ordered & have had it delivered today.
one problem, you hit the system menu button to go to the configuration menu - you hit right on the top option to go onto channel selection (amongst other htings), except when i hit right it does nothing...... well, very rarely it does anything at all - even with the right arrow saying yes you can go this way.
disgrutled lol, will probably call them up but it's 0870

It has been reported as delayed to me too. The email header shows it was sent seconds before their 8pm "deadline" Sadly too late to cancel the day off needed to wait in for it.
Sadly the reports of lousy customer service for this firm are not exaggerated. I KNOW that cheap usually means lousy, so why do I still go for these options?!0 -
Just to let you know if this daewoo comes back on last time I posted the offer some peeps said it looked massive etc.
I have actually had a look at one today in the flesh and its a pretty nice looking well made set up, and its not big either. I would get one if I wanted a recorder.
Also while I am at it, watch out for Scan, there CS isnt too good.
I sent back a TV card that no matter what I did after 20 solid hours of trying to get it to work, I gave up.
I sent it back under the DSR and they said it worked (I bet) but would only give me a credit and not a refund. When I reminded them of the DSR they said as I had opended it I couldnt have a full refund.
Well I knew this was wrong so threatended them with TS and a chargeback.
I got my refund but not my postage even though it stated clearly in their terms I would get this. I knew I would not get the postage it cost to return the item.
I asked why and they said it was becasue I had also bought two mice at £3.00 each and two ink carts at £1.50 each.
I had bought these so as to cushion there high carriage costs, no other reason.
So in the end it cost me £22 for £9 worth of goods. :mad:0 -
I also received an email saying that my order had been 'delayed'.......... Today I have received another email:

To put it mildly I am a little annoyed! so I suppose I will have to go for the refun, just hope there will be no problem with that. Had anyone else got the same email? When man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0 -

Had the VERY same email too....
Not had time to scan(!) over the terms & conditions yet, but I presume we are stuffed for any comeback? not even the offer of a tiny discount on an alternative!
The fact they debited my credit card too is doubly annoying as I will probably have to "pay" for it before I get any sort of refund, or pay interest charges.
I think at the very least Scan go into my "NEVER Again" category of retailers along with Comet!0 -
Havent received that mail-yet.Am expecting the worst. I ordered mine on Thursday 1226pm. Its very poor that they take the money before bothering to check their stock levels. Doubt they would have a problem refunding0
