Royal Caribbean cost of shore excursions

If anyone has been on an Eastern Caribbean RCI cruise would you be able to give an idea of the cost of their shore excursions such as Haiti, San Juan, St Kitts and St Martin, please?

As first time cruising we would probably take the ' set. ' shore excursions - even if a bit more expensive. It would help a lot if we had an idea of the likely cost - to budget for everything as much as possible.

Any experiences will be really appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks very much Caz3121 - I'll try Cruise Critic.

Update - I have just looked and saw lots of information about shore excursions including the current costs. Thank you for replying.

I have done two RC cruises and I found their excursions a little pricey compared to the local tour operators.

These cruises were within Asia and I managed to book excursions online very easily and much cheaper with local companies.
  • I'm with the OP idea on this, our first cruise was also an eastern Caribbean cruise with RCI, unfortunately the weather was pretty bad where we were supposed to go so the Captain (very wisely) made the decision to do the Western Caribbean instead and we had glorious sunshine all week.

The only 'downside' is that cruising is a bit addictive :D

If you don't find joy in the snow,
remember you'll have less joy in your life

...but still have the same amount of snow!

Most of the Caribbean Islands are quite small.

If you get more than one cruise ship in port at the same time, then many of the facilities and tourist sights get swamped with people. The Duty Free places are pretty much clones of each other.

We visited 5 islands on Thomson Celebration. 3 of the islands were great as we were the only cruise ship alongside. Only 1250 passengers, so had a good time. The other 2 islands we had to share with two of those mega cruise ships, there were crowds everywhere, and tbh it was a waste of time going ashore.

On excursions by road, enjoyment can depend on which side of the bus you sit.
