Get a couple of local kids you know to help out for pocket money.

I'm looking after next door's cat while they are currently away, free of charge I might add, but when I go away for 3 weeks later on in the year, their just teenage daughter is looking after my cat for pocket money, but the mother is objecting to me paying her, but I'll worry about that at the time.

I would not leave a rabbit unchecked for several days. What if he became ill or hurt himself, what if his food or water system failed. The neighbouring children may notice you are away and take advantage.
I once had a hamster water bottle fail to function as the ball stuck for some reason. Luckily I was home and noticed the hamster spending a long time at the tube , so was able to loosen the ball.
  • I ran a dogwalking/petsitting business last year whilst I was taking a career break. Only looked after a handful of rabbits during that time but really enjoyed it :)
Generally I'd pop in twice a day to feed & let into run/back into hutch overnight. Used to charge £5 a visit.
As I was fully insured & crb checked, people were happier getting me in than imposing on neighbours if they didn't know them that well.

My local pets at home has a board for third party advertising. Rabbits were £4 a night. We are near manchester airport.
