Paypal not working.

Anyone else finding that they can't draw payments on direct debits through PayPal today? I'm getting the message "Sorry, we're unable to process your request. You can still move money from your bank account to your PayPal account."

I had this error message at least 6 times on 27th July

I finally got it to work on 27th and set to pull in £7 by DD. Summary showed it would be in my PayPal balance on 3rd August. Appeared on my bank account 3rd August, but still showing as pending on PayPal.

I queried it by secure message this morning. Reply was that there is no problem with it but it could take until 10th August to appear:(

I haven't used this facility before so don't know if that is normal timescale for PayPal or if they are having ongoing problems:cool:

Yes, I got it to work in the end. I have three pending dd payments all of which show that the money will appear in my paypal account in a week. I don't know if that's normal or not to be honest - I haven't paid any attention to this before.

I think that it's quite a normal time scale.


How did you get rid of the error message?

It has started to refuse doing more than 1 at a time for me. After the first one works, it says "Sorry, we're unable to process your request. You can still move money from your bank account to your PayPal account." when I try again on a different account.

Is PayPal declining to set up more than one DD from your PP account?

How many DDs do you have going out from your PP account?

I can't see that there's a PP limit on the number of DDs an account holder can set up and pay out – have I got that wrong?

These are already set up and have been used before, I am not setting up new ones.

I found this month it would only let me process 1 at a time. I have 3 Direct Debits to PayPal to meet some ofthe requirements for 3 accounts and this month have had to wait a few days between each instead of doing them all together.

My payment, made on 27th July has arrived today 8th August.

Not the quick fix (for a missing DD:o) that I was hoping for.

Yes this is what I'm finding too.


I could, until this month, process 2 payments per day and then had to wait 24hrs to process the other 2.
It now seems that I can process 1 payment in 24hrs.....
but never, 6 at a time like some others manage
