Running satellite cable help please

Hi,

Looking for some help.

I want to run satellite cable from the front of my house (where the satellite dish is located), up through the loft and down the back of the house (into the kitchen) so I can get Freesat (in the kitchen).

What is the the best way of getting the cable into the loft?! Drill a hole in the soffit and push through?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Yes, that's probably the easiest way to do it. Can you access the soffit from within the loft space?

There should be a gap between the soffit and wall anyway for ventilation purposes.

Is that not always the case? :(

I thought I'd be able to push it in from the outside and the pull though.

Either through a hole or in the gap mentioned.

In moust houses you can do it easily, but not in my house :)
I recon I could push the cable through as you describe, just about, but it would have to be a stiff cable.
If you can see the soffit from inside the loft then it should be easy.

Finally managed to do this... Thanks.

    Steps:
-Push cable from the front of the house through the gap between the wall and soffit.
-Lean/reach into the soffit area from the loft pull cable through.
-Back of the house, push a wire coat hanger through a similar gap (crude)
-Tape the cable to the hanger
-Pull the hanger out slowly (worked third time for me!)

    Done.

Note to self: Silly idea to do this on a hot day!!!
