Sky TV without landline?

I currently have a landline with BT and broadband and TV through Sky. I know that if I terminate my landline and don't set a new line up I will lose Broadband. Does it also mean I will no longer have Sky TV?
I know you always used to have to have a working phone line to have Sky TV but not sure whether that still applies and Google doesn't seem to be my friend on this one.
Thanks in advance for any help.

You don't need a phone line to get Sky (satellite ) TV, it was the case in the past you had to connect the Sky box to a phone line in the first 12 months of your contract, or if you wanted to order pay per view events , or if you had multi room.
You never needed a phone line for Sky TV to work, as the TV signal comes from the dish, not the phone line0 -
Without a phone line (ie for broadband) you won't get the full Sky service, as the box uses internet for catchup and on demand.0

You can watch Sky TV with no satellite dish, no broadband, no line rental and no subscription if you want to see

You wouldn't lose you channels (as long as your continue your TV package contract). However, as some have mentioned, no internet access will mean certain features are lost.0

As has been said before. Sky like you to have the box connected to the phone line during the contract. But the physical box itself will work fine without it connected, Freest is exactly the same technology and of course, no phone line needed.0

The new (well they are at least three years old) boxes work with wi-fi, so no need for a physical phone connection, but you need internet to get on demand, catch up and other services.0 -

However, Virgin charges almost as much for Broadband alone as they do for a package of both landline and internet.
No technological barrier, but certainly a cost barrier.0 -
