My son has been awarded DLA for 10years - do i need to ring tax credits to tell them, or will they automatically know?

You need to inform them of any changes.

Tell tax credits what rate DLA has been awarded, as there is usually an additional premium paid. High rate care pays an extra amount on top of the disability premium.

The rate is middle care, low mobility.

My son is on middle care and low mobility. I didn't realise that there was a disability option to the tax credits until they wrote and told me with an adjusted award.

I would ring them and let them know, but they might already have the info and be working through an adjusted claim.
