But am still missing 2. Salters chemical ideas and salters chemical storylines on amazon they are both over £20 each and on ebay there were 2 going and already at 15.99 plus 4.00 post with 2 days left whats the point in buying em 2nd hand  so anyone know where I can get these cheaper is there a website that deals in 2nd hand text books ?

Try www.checkabook.com - it searches bookstores based on the book's ISBN.
Chemical Ideas is 0435631209 and Chemical Storylines is 0435631195.
Chemical Ideas is £20.25 new at Waterstones. There is a 10% off voucher on the above site, making the price £18.23.
Bear in mind that your son's college may give him some books? I've just started my A2 year and at the start of last year we all given a copy of Chemical Ideas and Chemical Storylines.
Also, if your son has an NUS Extra card, he can get 5% off at Amazon (from Amazon only; not Marketplace or zShops).0 -
Have you tried abebooks.co.uk?0

theres also www.sellstudentbooks.com that you could try, its a site where students can buy and sell text books they've needed for their courses so might be a good place to look************************************

Amazon and EBay are generally the best. Abe can sometimes come up with the goods but are quite expensive. On Ebay, it's worth checking specialist textbook shop sellers, as many 'Buy it Now' books don't show up in the main searches. Another possibility is by doing a Google Products search to compare prices.
However, when buying off Amazon or Ebay, be wary of buying from large 'dropshippers' (they normally have 10000s of listings). Most books from these sellers are delivered from America and can take quite a while to be delivered. It's also quite common that they decide to inform you after 2 weeks of ordering your book that it isn't stock.0 -
Heres a tip, go on eBay and use advanced search. Try looking up completed listings and you can see how much they have been selling for, and if you bide your time you could get yourself a deal.
This will give you a indication of the prices that they have been selling for, and how much you can realistically expect to pay.0
