Daughters old iPhone 5G phone has a trashed screen, it's so bad you can't do anything on the phone, she has a new phone so not a problem, however, I thought if I could somehow get it back to factory settings, I could sell it cheap for repairs, there are plenty of people on local social media looking for phones need repairing.
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world

A simple google search returns the answer you're looking for :-
Connect your iPhone to iTunes and put the iPhone into DFU mode. Do this by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button for 10 seconds. At this point the screen will turn black, and the iPhone will appear to be off. Continue holding just the Home button at this point.
Itunes will then recognise that you have a phone in recovery mode and it will display your phone info. Click restore to reset to factory settings.0
