in Credit cards
Can anyone help recently my mother has passed away, she had a balance on her credit card of just over £3000 but also had PPI. Barclays whom it is with say that they will and have taken payment of what she had left in her account. Is she not covered for this from the PPI she was paying each month on her bill or do i have to claim it back through barclays insurance. I had a girl from Barclaycard who seemed to say i could but then the chap in branch when closing my mothers accounts down seemed to think not.

It will all depend on whether the policy covered death or not. Ask them for the policy terms in force for your mother (as these will have changed over time).0
