Returning mobile bought from amazon (but 3rd party)

Bought a mobile from amazon (albeit 3rd party). Sony Experia Z5. When I got it I noticed it wasn't sealed and there were no earphones in there.
Wasn't too bothered - never use the cheap ones that come with the phone and wasnt 100% sure if they were supposed to be in there.
Anyway, last few weeks have had problems with phone. Not sure why but some of them appear to be known problems.
So its going back. Fortunately, with amazon you can return for free within 30 days. Which is why I like amazon.
I've now bought a replacement (to arrive before I send this one back). Only this is I'm concerned that amazon will try to reject my return if the earphones are missing.
I know amazon generally are very good though. Anyone had anything similar happen?
Apart from the earphones (which like I said I don't know about) all the rest of the box contents inc charger and phone (still in A1 condition) are there.

You won't be allowed to return an incomplete product, unless you tell them first that the headphones never arrived.
It'll be the seller you liaise with, not Amazon.0 -

I've added this note to the return. To be honest, I did notice when I opened the product but, like I said, I wasn't 100% sure if its supposed to come with earphones. At the time, since I didnt plan to use them anyway, it wasnt a big issue for me.
Trouble is now, they're going to think, yeh right of course it didnt have them when they turned up!0 -

You could always give them the earphones from the new one, if they are the same.0 -
