Morning All
Late start for me today, well I was up at 4 to take DS2 to the airport, his flight was at 6. I went back to bed and dozed but decided 9.15 was late enough.
Had a good weekend, the party on Saturday was really good. It was a quiz night which meant that we could all talk without the constant thumping of a disco and a bit of fun too.
Had a housefull yesterday afternoon, lots of food and drink, not often DD and DS2 are here together and it was a good way for others to see them too. Got DD a caterpillar cake (the girl one) which she loved (she was 24 on Friday!). She shares her birthday with the lad from across the road, I had picked them up from the airport yesterday afternoon, back from sunny spain.
Clearing stuff away today and washing DS2s bedding, good job the weather is lovely and sunny.
Happy Monday, take care. XX0 -

Morning all,
Had a nice lay in this morning till 9 when Evie woke me up wanting to go in the garden to eat grass ! her tummy is making strange noises so something is upsetting it.
Dumpling good luck today, Evie is a jackapoo, Jack Russell cross poodle she is tiny with a jack head and poodle ears and her body is the shape of a poodle but the size of a jack ! she is a dear little thing and full of character !
DD and I are off shopping today and will have lunch out we do this two or three times a year as we both dislike shopping but we wiz round and are home early afternoon.
I have some nice ham in the fridge so will do some mash and salad to go with it and maybe some boiled eggs.
Will hang the washing before I go and have a tidy round.
Have good days all xx0 -

Some of the "portmanteau" names for dogs are amazing, aren't they?
We've had staying, variously:
Labradoodle (Lab x Poodle)
Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel x Poodle)
Sprocker (Springer Spaniel x Cocker Spaniel)
Chorkie (Chihuahua x Yorkie)
Westichon (Westie x Bichon Frise)
and one of the dogs we see on walkies often is a Boodle (Beagle x Poodle). If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Well done speky :j
The builders came round early and made a start on the back garden, preparing it for flagstones at the side of the decking and a raised bed for plants near the garage. I managed to empty another three big boxes and managed to find my bread maker and the Remoska so very pleased. I also gave the builder three boxes for the charity shop as ours is still closed due to the floods and the bridge collapsing.

I hope things get better for your DH and that you don't have to constantly worry that he will faint.

You made me laugh out loud - yet again.
Trying to think of a healthy meal for tonight , maybe an omelette or scrambled eggs on toast as still trying to eat sensibly.

Good afternoon everyone
Well my first therapy session went really well. I liked the therapist and she seemed like she could help me. We are going to be doing CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and we are going to concentrate on getting through the wedding first.
redruby, your little jackapoo sounds so gorgeous, I love jack russels and poodles. I like all the new combinations that are being bred these days but oh my gosh, they are so expensive. My hubby calls them all heinz 57's as well.
Well done Speky on your new job, hope it is all you wish for.
I am off to sort out tea now, the girls had a successful shopping trip apart from getting some new shoes for DD16 for the wedding. She has enormous feet, size 9 I think so I will be ordering some online for her to try.
Hope you all have a nice evening, take care xx0
