I cannot see any legitimate reason for posting this so I'll be marking it as :spam:0 -
Although in fairness he has posted other brokers on this thread, eg drivethedeal.
I'll take his contribution in the spirit it was offered.
You're right, I hadn't spotted that, although why he would post about a BMW specialist when there has been no mention of BMW previously in the thread I don't know, and still makes me suspicious.0 -
They may be considered, for those in the know, as a BMW specialist but they also deal with many makes of car. I think you're reading too much into his post. You're right, I hadn't spotted that, although why he would post about a BMW specialist when there has been no mention of BMW previously in the thread I don't know, and still makes me suspicious.0 -
I bit the bullet and emailed/telcalled a (Toyota) dealer... hard work as usual and no hope of actually getting a draft contract to view.
However, what was on offer was a 10% discount no matter how I paid (funded by Toyota), £200 ish from the dealer (to beat the opposition I guess) and, for finance via PCP another 10% funded by Toyota Finance (total 20.4% off MRP).
The dealer was happy to explain that some of his customers took the finance, with the expressed intent of settling early. The dealer stated that after 3 months, the discount was secure. The extra cost of settling early would be an extra 1 month of interest.
I imagine all marques will do similar. I'm cogitating on getting my next car via this route, spreadsheeting next, but will need to read the small print re discount clawback before signing.0 -
Concluded. Before I had chance to explain about credit and the way things work these days, they had gone to another showroom, were treated with understanding and respect, and bought a discounted pre registered Honda Civic which they are delighted with.0
