Moving electric meter/fuse box and incoming electricity to another room, Scotland?

Hi
I've recently moved into a top floor flat tenement in Scotland and wanted to explore if the current electric meter and fuse box and incoming electricity be relocated to another room within the property? Both electric and gas are located in 2 separate small room compartments.
Any locals in Scotland with experience of such please kindly let me know. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Not in Scotland myself but the premise is the same. The cut out and service cable can only be moved legally by your DNO. They may also be able to move your meter too.
Your supplier could possibly move you meter, but mostly (I my experience) will only move it approximately one metre.
It cannot be more than 2metres from the cut out anyway. On top of the costs that the DNO may charge you, you will also have to pay an electrician to reconnect your internal wiring to the main supply (possibly via an isolator left by the DNO) and they can also move your consumer unit/customers fuseboard.

You could well be looking at a new electricity cable from the street in which case you could be talking thousands. Rules in Scotland are the same as England.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

Ring you dno and see, I've had people tell me they paid anything from 50quid to 1500quid for a service move.0
