Typo on overdraft application

What would happen if I made an honest typo on my over draught application?

It asked my monthly salary and I wrote £30,000 rather than £3,000. It was an honest typo that I did not notice until I was approved for the £250 OD.

Should I call the bank, or just ignore it?

I only applied for the OD, as this is my bill account and I have noticed sometimes I get a little too close to zero for my liking and I just wanted a buffer just in case.

I would suggest you call the bank and rectify the mistake.

Could lead to some headaches down the line.

One simple call and the salary you actually have is probably fine for the overdraft you've requested anyway.
    Thanks

  • Contact them and tell them, if you've only been offered a £250 overdraft that'll probably be fine anyway. If your wages are going into this account they'll soon know anyway, better they see you as an honest customer!
If you don't like what I say slap me around with a large trout and PM me to tell me why.
